Big Bass Splash, a fishing slot with five reels

Five reels with three rows each form the grid of this fishing and ocean themed slot. There are 10 fixed paylines, and wins pay from left to right, beginning on the leftmost reel. Two matching symbols on a payline are enough to pay. Symbols run from the cards A to 10 up to fishing gear.

Every 4th Wild collected adds 10 Free Spins and lifts the collection multiplier, up to x10 at level 4. During Free Spins, Wilds collect money values from 2x to 5,000x the total bet, shown on fish symbols. Dynamite spins and hooks add whichever of fish or fishermen is missing. Exactly two Scatter symbols bring a near-miss teaser in the base game.

Two rounds explained

From base reels to fish money, in steps

After this, you will know how each mode runs and how WILD collection extends the round.

When the fourth WILD gets collected

2x-5000x total bet is the range of random MONEY values on fish symbols. WILD (Fisherman) appears on all reels and collects them. Every 4th WILD collected retriggers +10 Free Spins and raises the collection multiplier: level 2 = x2, level 3 = x3, level 4 = x10, the max.

When two SCATTERS land

5 reels x 3 rows with 10 fixed paylines. Wins pay left-to-right from the leftmost reel. When exactly 2 SCATTER land, a random respin-down moves the scatter reels one position down while the others respin, or a hook pulls a reel up to reveal another SCATTER.

How does a round actually pay out?

Useful before the first spin, when you want to see how one round runs.

  1. A$0.20 versus A$5 bets

A$0.10 to A$250 is the bet range on this slot. Every win scales with the bet you pick, so one round pays more at A$5 than at A$0.20.

  2. Leftmost reel first, then right

5 reels by 3 rows make the grid, with 10 fixed paylines. A win pays when matching symbols land on a payline from the leftmost reel to the right.

  3. What happens when two Scatters land?

Exactly 2 Scatter symbols can start a teaser. Scatter reels move one position down while the rest respin, or a hook pulls a reel up to show another Scatter.

  4. Base game versus free spins

Once the free spins begin, the Wild Fisherman appears on all reels. Each one collects the money values shown on fish, from 2x to 5000x the total bet.

  5. Stop at your own limit

Decide your spending limit before the first spin, and stop once you reach it. The National Gambling Helpline on 1800 858 858 offers support.

Can I try Big Bass Splash without a deposit?

You will know whether to open the demo or sign up for real play.

The demo needs no money and pays nothing. The real game needs an account at Star Casino and the legal age, 18+.

Why one session cannot predict a win

96.71 percent RTP is a long-run figure, and it does not tell you when the bonus round will land. How often the free spins come is not known before you play. Two sessions at the same stake can end at opposite results, because each spin is random. The RTP does not change that for one session.

Ten fixed paylines pay the same way in every round, but the RTP version that Star Casino runs is shown only in the game rules. Open those rules before you stake, since the series includes releases with other RTP figures.

x5,000 is the largest multiple of the bet that the game pays, and it is a ceiling reached very rarely. Nobody can plan a session around it, and no spin is guaranteed to come anywhere close to it.

Big Bass Splash owes you no win

Players must be 18+. Get help from the National Gambling Helpline on 1800 858 858, or register with BetStop, the national self-exclusion register.

Budget gone, session over?

Set a budget before the first spin and treat it as the full session cost. When it is spent, stop, even if a win looks close.

Quit at your planned point

Set your stop point before you play, and keep it after a win too. Losses are no reason to raise the bet.

Big Bass Splash, cap losses

Set deposit and loss limits in your account before you play. They cap what you can put in or lose, so the choice is made early.

When the fun has gone

If the session stops being fun, take a break. If you cannot stop, register with BetStop to self-exclude.

Big Bass Splash guide

Before the spin and after the bonus

Star Casino shows each figure as it stands, so you can judge the game before you bet.

What is the minimum and maximum bet on Big Bass Splash?

A$0.10 is the lowest bet, and A$250 is the highest bet allowed here. The example bets on this page are A$0.20, A$1 and A$5, and they are not the limits.

How do the free spins start in Big Bass Splash?

Exactly 2 Scatters in the base game set off a near-miss teaser. Either the scatter reels move one position down while the others respin, or a hook pulls one reel up to reveal another Scatter. Once in free spins, every 4th WILD collected adds 10 Free Spins.

Is Big Bass Splash different from Big Bass Splash 1000?

At 96.71%, this version has the highest RTP in the series. Its max win of x5,000 matches four other versions. Only Big Bass Splash 1000, at x25,000, has a higher max win.

How much does the Big Bass Splash bonus buy cost?

A$500 buys the Free Spins at the A$5 example bet, which is 100 times that bet. The price moves with the bet you choose, so it is not one fixed amount.

How volatile is Big Bass Splash in practice?

The max win is x5,000 the bet, or A$25,000 at the A$5 example bet. Volatility is high, so results swing widely from spin to spin. Nobody can predict a session, and the 96.71% RTP is a long-run average, not a promise.
