Bigger Bass Bonanza

Bigger Bass Bonanza, a fishing video slot

Five reels with four rows each form the fishing scene. The symbols are boats, rods and reels, lures, tackle boxes and card ranks from A to 10. Wins follow 12 fixed paylines that run left to right over adjacent reels, starting on the leftmost reel. A payline wins when at least two matching symbols land in a row from that reel. Fish with money values pay in cash.

Three, four or five scatters start Free Spins with 10, 15 or 20 spins. The fisherman Wild appears only in that mode, substitutes for all but the scatter, and collects the cash values of money symbols on screen. Every fourth collected Wild adds 10 spins with a x2, x3 or x10 collection multiplier, up to three retriggers. Round wins cap at 4,000x the bet.

Five steps ahead

Before your first spin on the reels

Settles what happens on each spin, from the bet to the free spins and the session limit.

  1. What bet can I pick?

The reels turn only after you pick a bet from A$0.12 up to A$240 per spin. The paytable shows values for A$0.50, and every payout scales with the bet you pick.

  2. Two symbols pay, one does not

Matching symbols that start on the leftmost reel and run across adjacent reels form a win on one of 12 fixed paylines. Two matching symbols are the fewest that pay.

  3. Base game first, Free Spins after

The base game has no Wild, so regular symbols and fish pay per the paytable alone. The Multiplier and Money Collect features wait for the Free Spins.

  4. Scatter count and spin count

Three, four or five Scatter symbols trigger 10, 15 or 20 Free Spins, and the Wild collects the cash value of every money symbol on screen when it lands.

  5. Set your loss limit first

Each spin on the reels costs the bet you chose, from A$0.12 to A$240. A higher bet drains the balance faster, so set your loss limit before the first spin.

When you are weighing whether to commit actual funds

Useful before your first spin, or when you are not yet sure about staking money.

Demo spins on the reels cost nothing and pay nothing. Real-money play needs a Star Casino account and you must be 18 or over.

Bonus frequency and session totals

The reels land a random result on every spin, and the Free Spins round starts only when Scatter symbols land. How often it appears cannot be known in advance, and earlier spins do not reveal it. The outcome of one session is random whatever the RTP, so one session can finish well above or well below its expected return.

Each spin on the 5x4 grid returns at the RTP version this lobby runs, and only the game rules name that version. Open the game rules before the first spin to see which version applies. The version listed there is the one that governs every round you play.

Wild symbols that land in Free Spins collect the cash values of all Money symbols on screen, yet the round win stops at 4000x the bet. That cap is the maximum win, and it is reached very rarely. No session can be planned toward it, so treat the ceiling as a limit on payouts rather than a goal.

Budget ceiling before the spin

Decide how much you can afford to lose before the first spin, and keep that sum apart from money you need.

Decide your exit point now

Pick the point where you will stop before you begin, and keep to it after a win as well as after a loss.

Limits set before, not during

Set deposit and loss limits in your account before you start, so the amount you are willing to lose is fixed in advance.

From fun to chasing losses

If the game stops being fun, take a break, or exclude yourself through BetStop, and do not return to the reels to win back losses.

Bigger Bass Bonanza FAQ

From guesswork to a clear paytable

Read these answers and you will know what the bets, RTP and volatility mean before spinning.

How is Bigger Bass Bonanza different from other Big Bass slots?

Bigger Bass Bonanza returns 96.71% RTP, above the 96.50% to 96.52% of the other Big Bass versions. Its maximum win is x4,000 the bet, below the x5,000 of four of those versions and the x25,000 of Big Bass Splash 1000.

How much can I bet on Bigger Bass Bonanza in Australia?

Bets run from A$0.12 to A$240. The paytable uses A$0.50 as its example stake, and A$1 is the top example bet on this page. The maximum win is set as a multiple of the bet, so a larger stake raises the top prize in money.

Can I try Bigger Bass Bonanza in demo mode first?

The rules of Bigger Bass Bonanza are set out on this page, from the 5x4 grid and 12 fixed paylines to the Free Spins round. Read them before the first spin, so every result on the reels makes sense.

How volatile is Bigger Bass Bonanza, high or low?

High volatility means results swing more widely. Long stretches without a big win can happen, and a single round can pay many times its stake. Nobody can know in advance when the Free Spins will start.

What is the RTP of Bigger Bass Bonanza and its versions?

RTP is a long-run figure, calculated over a very large number of rounds. This version shows 96.71%, which means A$96.71 is returned on average for every A$100 staked over that long run. It says nothing about the result of one session.
